"LUX Carbon Standard seeks to effectively contribute to the sustainability and conservation of our planet.
Here I share the inspiring journey that brought us to this point.
The Carbon Credit Certifier's journey took shape amid the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. In this scenario, my daughter Camila, a lawyer in Germany, delved deeper into agreements to reduce carbon emissions. Her passion for International Law and indignation at Brazil not being prominently present in this market drove her.
Enthusiastic conversations revealed his vision for a robust carbon market in Brazil. My wife, Marlene, a finance expert, shared my interest in this promising market. United, we began to see an opportunity for real impact on society.
With more than 25 years of consulting and as a university professor, I have always been inspired by innovative businesses. In 2020, I delved into the carbon market, researching and improving my understanding. Our company was born with a clear purpose: not just to certify carbon credits, but to conserve forest areas and offer innovative solutions to transform organizations and rethink the way of human life.
We face the pandemic with resilience and responsibility, shaping a conscious future. Today, we look back with pride. LuxCS grew, combining technology and diverse expertise in a multidisciplinary team. Professionals from law, forestry engineering and science, chemical engineering, business management and technology were invited to face the challenge with us, of building the first carbon credit certifier in the Brazilian voluntary market.
